Bonjour,

Searching for a relaxing holiday in a Gite in Brittany, may be with a few friends or family?

La Petite Grange is a large self catering holiday gite, accommodating up to 8 adults (or 9 including a baby cot) in Brittany, situated in the small village of Aucaleuc. It has both the tranquility and charm of the countryside whilst being only a 7 minute drive from the center of the historic town of Dinan.

Originally a disused barn, renovation was completed in 2006. Great care has been taken to retain as many original features as possible, resulting in a spacious, charming and comfortable gite, finished to a very high standard. Boasting the added luxury of a private heated outdoor pool to cool off in the summer months and a log fire to cosy around on those cold winter nights, La Petite Grange is perfect as a holiday destination all year through.

The area surrounding Aucaleuc has some beautiful country walks where you are likely to see many forms of wildlife, such as squirrels, deer, foxes and owls, to name but a few. For those of you into sport, there are several beautiful golf courses in the area and horse riding, fishing and sailing are just a few of the activities available. For the less energetic, why not relax on the Brittany beaches and dine out in the numerous restaurants. Sample seafood, traditional French cuisine and crepes or galettes, which are a Breton speciality. The medieval town of Dinan, with its cobbled streets, quaint shops, creperies and charming port on the river Rance is of course a must!

Ideally situated the gite is perfect as a base from which to explore the neighbouring towns and their sites such as St. Malo, with its ramparts, the seaside resort of Dinard, breath-taking Mont St. Michel, historic Combourg and the larger towns of St. Brieuc and Rennes. There are many bargains to be had in the shops and why not stock up on wine and local produce before returning home?

Speaking both fluent English and French, the resident owners are at hand should you need advice on local information and places of interest to help you make the most of your stay in France.
